VoipJet Frequently
Asked Questions (FAQ).
1- Do you terminate
VoIP calls to all countries?
Yes, VoipJet
offers A-Z termination. However, due to Canadian restrictions we
ask that you do not knowingly use VoipJet to make a call that begin
and end in Canada. Such calls are subject to extra taxes. We have
no way of telling where a call originated, so it is up to you to
keep track of this restriction yourself. This is the only restriction.
2- How come
I haven't heard of this extra tax before?
Most wholesale
VoIP service companies just ignore it because it is impossible to
enforce. VoipJet is a professional corporation conducting business
in accordance with the law. If you are serving customers in Canada,
please don't use us for your Canadian long distance. Do use us for
everything else, though!
3- Can't VoipJet
use CallerID information to prevent long-distance calls starting
and ending within Canada?
No. For example,
many Canadians force their CallerID to a Canadian number while travelling
abroad with digital VoIP phones.
4- How does VoipJet pass CallerID?
We partially support CallerID to USA, Canada and some International countries. e.g. It works for calls to many parts of the USA, but not all.
5- What protocols
do you support?
IAX2
Inter-Asterisk Exchange for all customers.
6- How do I
make payments?
Emerging
VoIP service providers can make payments through PayPal accounts or Moneybookers.com, while carriers can make payments via wire-transfer.
7- How is my
payment processed?
Securely
on PayPal's servers. They are the largest and most trusted company
for handling online transactions..
8- Do you store
my credit card information on VoipJet servers?
No. PayPal does not share your credit card or banking information when you make a payment.
9- What do you
do with my personal information?
We won't
sell it or share it with another company.
10 - Can I view
my usage and remaining balance online?
Yes. You
can view full CDR (Call Detail Record) information as well as
your remaining funds. Login to the members section.
11- Is your
service strictly prepay?
Yes. Of course,
for larger carriers we will setup convenient terms with your accounting
department and extend credit to long-standing customers over holiday periods.
12- How should I dial calls?
This is very important. Dial NANPA numbers starting with 1 and then the area code. Do not put 011 in front of NANPA numbers, or you will be charged $1 a minute and it'll take us a while to refund you. Also, it means that calls are routed improperly. International calls should start with 011. It's simple: look at our price list and dial the country in the way you see listed. And when you signup, an extensions.conf is auto-generated for you with this distinction.
13- Does the same account allow for simultaneous calls?
All servers allow simultaneous calls, with the exception of the test server.
